Abstract:
Road transport recently has been faced with several groups of problems that have a significant impact on the efficiency of transports in various supply chains. These include the frequent changes in legislation and the need for hauliers to adapt to its provisions. The most important problem for the road haulage industry at present is the insufficient number of professional drivers. This article presents an analysis of the factors influencing the perception of the driving profession as unattractive from the point of view of potential employees. The factors were identified based on a survey conducted. The opinions of 455 professional drivers were analysed. Respondents made suggestions for systemic solutions that require legislative changes, but which could increase safety in road transport and interest in the profession.
