Abstract:
The article is focused on the importance of the consumer basket in the diet of preschool children. The costs of providing catering services, legislation, calculation and the importance of the consumer basket are listed. An analysis of consumer baskets was performed in connection with the diversity of menus of preschool children at 26 selected kindergartens in the Zlín Region. Percentage violations, filling for individual commodities and filling of consumer baskets for selected kindergartens were evaluated, solutions and recommendations are given. All canteens have financial food standards set in accordance with the School Catering Decree and are in the middle of the limits of these standards.
