Abstract:
The article, using the example of the Russian air transportation market, examines the approach to segmenting airlines by business models based on operating results. Two business models of airlines are distinguished: traditional and budget one. The study showed that in a period of a stable economy, the demand for air transportation of network airlines depends on price fluctuations, and in times of crisis, demand does not change when prices change. Demand for the transportation of network airlines in a period of sustainable economy is elastic in income.
