Analysis of the Factors that Influence Economic Performance of Romanian Agribusinesses. Case Study: South- East and South Muntenia Regions

Abstract:

Agriculture has been and continues to be an area of primary importance in Romania, both by contributing to the economy and the share of employment, but the performance of Romanian agricultural sector remain relatively modest, in contrast to its natural potential and the expectations of the people. The research that formed the basis of this study focused agricultural businesses (producers of cereals, purchasers, storage, processors and traders) in Southern Region - East and South Muntenia (Ialomita and Braila) and identifies factors in their perception they affect economic performance. As a research method was used questionnaire survey, it is recommended for the study of organizations, helping to analyze the main factors that influence economic performance, namely: government policies, national fiscal policies, the accession of Romania to the European Union, the absence of forms of association of companies in the field, access to employment, training level of management, access to finance, the technical facilities, foreign competition, the customs policy, infrastructure and local policies.
