Abstract:
This article presents the possibility of using renewable energy sources to power vehicle charging stations. The development of electromobility is causing a drastic consumption of electricity by vehicle users. In addition, the increased supply of electric vehicles is putting a strain on the energy infrastructure especially in urban areas. It is possible to support conventional power plants by installing additional photovoltaic panels to produce additional electricity for vehicle charging stations. In this study, the performance of standard 3.3 and 4.5 kWh photovoltaic installations was investigated. The analysis showed that the use of such installations on urban buildings and vacant fields in urban spaces would support the energy system of an area.
