Abstract:

There are a lot of approaches, methods and tools, for solving the issues of product innovation. The aim of this article is to enhance the effectiveness of the stage-gate process, which is one of the best known methods for developing innovative products. We can improve quality and effectiveness in the processes of innovative product development by applying Engineering Design Science (EDS) knowledge based on the Theory of Technical Systems and theoretically support the existing instructive form of the stage-gate process.
