Analysis of the Introduction of Digital Technologies in the Enterprises of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Russian Federation

Abstract:

The article substantiates the necessity of using digital technologies in industry. The directions of implementing the concept of the industrial revolution "Industry 4.0" are identified, the main of which are Big Data, internet of things, robotics, digital twins, "smart" materials, 3D printing, and a distributed registry (blockchain). Based on an analysis of the literature on digital transformation of business, trends in digital transformation in general for industrial enterprises and for enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation, in particular, are revealed. It has been established that the Internet of things is the most popular type of digital technology in the energy industry. This is primarily due to the fact that the energy system has traditionally been built around the technological principle of reliability, and Smart Grid technologies, which are related to IoT elements, can significantly increase reliability. In addition to improving reliability, IoT technologies can reduce the number of network crashes by providing timely information about abnormal equipment operating conditions and timely preventive repairs. At the same time, the benefits from the digital transformation of the business will be received not only by the energy company itself, but also by other counterparties involved in the generation, distribution, and consumption of electricity.
