Abstract:
Cybersecurity is a concept that goes beyond cyberspace security. It is also closely related to other types of security. Security types such as: IT infrastructure, network, Internet and information security are an important element of cybersecurity.
The structure of cybersecurity systems is a combination of strategies containing best practices, employee education or modern technological solutions in the field of cyber threats as well as cooperation and coordination with other types of security, within a coherent system of identification, reporting and response to cyber threats.
The paper presents the basic legal regulations concerning such a system in the EU and their implementation in Poland. Documents were analysed for entities that use IT systems to send, store and analyse data both for their own business and for handling tasks related to the cybersecurity system. Selected requirements that should be met by these entities were also presented, and a technological solution in the form of a database system was proposed, which can be used to operate the cybersecurity system, both in the field of strategy, coordination with other types of security, as well as in the field of handling system tasks. Based on the analysis of the possibilities and areas of existing applications of various database systems, it was proposed to use the PostgreSQL system as part of the cybersecurity system.
