Analysis Of The Relation Between The Structure Of Financial Resources And The Value Of The Company – Fundamental Element Of Due Diligence Mission

Abstract:

In the conditions of an economic environment characterized by significant uncertainties and a strong volatility of financial markets, investors express the need for a decision-making process that would precede the operations of releasing the owned capital to the targeted entities. Due diligence comes to eliminate some of the unknowns of such an approach. In this context, knowing the connections established between the funding policy and the development of the entity acquires decisive connotations for the well development of the process of transferring the financial resources.  Using the financial and non-financial data specific to the 60 companies quoted in the Bucharest Stock Exchange that make up the extracted sample, this article aims to analyze the impact of the structuring of the financial resources on the value of the companies, as an element that reflects the performance of their activity. At the same time, this study attempts to identify the internal factors, specific to the company, that determine the composition of the financial structure, as well as the sense and intensity of their actions upon financial leverage, as its indicator. This paper also takes into account the activity field of the companies, thus reflecting the need to evaluate the relevance of the funding strategies according to their manifestation.
