Abstract:

The objective of this contribution is the assessment of the existence of the relationship between the workforce in synergy with open innovation within the institutional environment and the development of a knowledge-based economy in the EU countries. There is human factor, which decides to a large extent about the innovation performance and competitiveness of enterprises. Creating conditions for the implementation of the open policy of innovation opens up the new space for the use of new knowledge and skills. In the context of these changes to the corporate culture the new business opportunities are open up, but there arise also risks.
