Abstract:
Technologies are constantly developing, and the area of transport has no exception. Modern technologies significantly influence decision-making and management processes also in the field of transport. It can be assumed that the aim of deploying modern technologies in the field of transport is mainly to achieve smoother and safer transport. For effective traffic management, especially in connection with the Smart City concept, it is necessary to know and implement solutions for securing communication within vehicles located in the Smart City infrastructure. The issue of intelligent transport is logically closely connected with the concept of Smart City, where solutions referred to as V2I (vehicle-to-infrastructure) can be considered important for ensuring communication between the elements of the transport infrastructure and the vehicles that use it. The article presents the results of the analysis of the V2I solution for communication in intelligent transport. The results show an understanding of the V2I solution, the basic architecture and orientation of the transmitted information within the communication between the car and the infrastructure. Knowledge and presentation of knowledge in the analyzed issues is important for the needs of understanding V2I communication, while the results of the analysis can be used for various further research, or building or managing intelligent systems in transport.
