Analyzing Quality Management Dimensions Employed by Selected Existing Instruments

Abstract:

At a larger scope, quality management research has been extended to analysis of impact, relationship with various variables, industry practices, including development of instrument or assessment tool. In these researches, various dimensions have been highlighted. However, they often refer to a set of similar dimensions. Yet, some of the dimensions are overlapping, redundant and inclusive of one another. In addition, analyses to sort and classify the dimensions have been inadequately conducted. This article presents a meta analytic review of selected published existing instruments. For that purpose, the inclusion criteria are predetermined in order to narrow down the process of article search. This enables a more focused analysis. The study presents a frequency analysis which explains the popular dimensions.  Finally, the article highlights prevalent gaps for future research.
