Analyzing Social Data to Create Innovation Opportunities

Abstract:

Extracting crucial information from data, no longer represents a novelty for agents. What matter most is the way they integrate data and use the appropriate sources that leverage correct and pertinent responses to their needs. Despite its benefits, social intelligence still represents a subject that some of the companies, especially small enterprises, struggle to understand their capabilities, their opportunities and mainly, the techniques through they can achieve the desired output. For this, the present paper emphasise the benefits of social intelligence that agents, with the focus of those that are organised in clusters, can take advantage of. Social intelligence requires detailed analysis of online behaviour with the focus on the subject that matter for the business itself. Combining data from different resources as well as applying data mining algorithms, interpreting the results and making predictions, are the main steps which demand clarity, precision and an understanding of the concept and its value added to the business. With the resources constraints, these solutions lead to innovation and stimulate the cluster activity into the market.
