Analyzing the Effect of Job Satisfaction, Work-Life Enrichment, and Trust towards Employee Turnover Intention

Abstract:

Manufacturing sectors have become a significant concern for the Indonesian government. Employers to face problems in managing workers. It has become a permanent challenge in the human resource management field. This research examines the effect of job satisfaction mediated by work-life enrichment and trust to management toward employee turnover intention in PT Excel Metal Industry. A survey involving 293 operators at Casting, Machining, and Finishing departments was conducted to test the proposed conceptual model in this study. By employing Structural Equation Modelling (SEM,) this study shows that the job satisfaction, supported by the work-life enrichment and the management trust affect the employee turnover intentions. More importantly, it is hoped that this study may enrich academic knowledge and give a beneficial contribution to PT Excel Metal Industry in reducing employee’s intention to leave the company permanently. Last but not least, Managerial implications and suggestions for further study are also discussed.
