Abstract:

The article presents results of empirical research regarding relationship between two leading management concepts: Lean Management and Industry 4.0. It investigates answers to two research questions: how do Industry 4.0 technologies support companies, which operate according to Lean Management principles and in what directions can application of such technologies develop? Conclusions of the paper provide detailed description of Industry 4.0 solutions application within Lean companies and explaining complementarity of their relationship.
