Application Of The FMEA For Ergonomic Project Management

Abstract:

Ergonomic activities are increasingly being undertaken in production enterprises, aimed at improving working conditions, streamlining processes and adapting the enterprise to applicable legal and normative provisions. However, these activities require evaluation in order to avoid unnecessary implementation costs, errors in their implementation, and to ensure that new solutions will be used by future users (operators). In this article, the FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis) method was used for such evaluation, using its assumptions to predict potential errors in starting and running projects in the context of ergonomic activities in manufacturing companies. The applied approach has been completed with expert judgment - a selected group of experts assessed the importance of individual errors in project implementation and management, identified on the basis of an analysis of the literature and the authors' experience.
