Abstract:

The goal of the paper is to analyze if Kanban methodology can be used in managing research projects. Researches were conducted based on the data collected during realization of research projects implemented at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Thanks to interviews with project teams and project managers the most important elements of the Kanban methodology were identified which should be implemented in the management of research projects. The most important result of the analyzes was the design of the Kanban electronic board project and its verification for the selected research project. The board was programmed in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) implemented in MS Excel.
