Abstract:
E-government, as a new approach to better government, is an innovation that can be adopted or rejected by the citizens depending on how it is implemented. The governments wishing to embark on this need approaches that can help to facilitate its adoption so that the diffusion process is efficient and effective. This paper explains Rogers Diffusion of Innovation Theory and, discussing its relevance to implementation of e-government, proposes a model that suggests application of the theory for the e-government adoption process.
