Applying Bibliometric Mapping and Clustering on Research regarding Biomass related Innovation

Abstract:

The present paper aims to present advances in research regarding solid biofuels, by identifying changing interest of researchers in time. The methodology used implies a bibliometric analysis based on mapping and clustering of the keywords that establish a relationship with biomass, as a main type of solid biofuels and the first one to be used since the humankind discovered the fire. The analysis considers papers from the principal flow of published documents, such as articles and conference papers indexed by Scopus database between 1994 and 2018 and follows three steps: the analysis of the selected papers (in order to reveal top authors and top countries with contributions in the field, papers distribution on journals and conference volumes, subject area distribution of the papers), the analysis of received citations (in order to obtain a measure of the impact of selected papers), and the analysis of the keywords (in order to reveal possible links between keywords with a minimum of occurrences, formed clusters and a map with linkages in time for keywords co-occurring in the same paper).
