Abstract:

The development of a terminology extraction tool for Arabic language requires linguistic specifications of terms. Indeed, Arabic being an agglutinative language, statistical methods could not be applied straight and should be associated to linguistic treatments. In this paper, we present an approach to automatic term extraction which takes into consideration the characteristics of Arabic language, and aims to combine different filtering techniques (linguistic and statistical).
