Abstract:

The aim of this article is to provide an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods and their potential applications in the development of pharmaceutical formulations. Moreover, the limitations of traditional Designs of Experiments (DoE) methods used in pharmaceutical formulations design were discussed, and potential ways of overcoming these limitations using AI methods were highlighted. Furthermore, AI methods used in the design of pharmaceutical formulations delivery processes are presented.
