Abstract:

In research, it is proposed the approach of assessing the digitization level of universities. This assessment is comprehensive and include 22 indicators. The supposed approach is realized on the example of leading Russian universities. Information base of research is data from the official university websites, digital platforms and state statistics. The authors also proposed a scale for classifying universities according to the level of digitalization. The evaluation analysis showed a predominantly low level of most universities digitization. Based on the obtained results three groups of universities were identified. There are outsiders, leaders, and their followers. The presented approach for assessing the digital level of universities will reveal the advantages and disadvantages of Russian education in order to increase its competitiveness at the international level.
