Assessment of the Contribution of Digital Marketing to Tourism Development

Abstract:

Today, in tourism, the Internet not only performs the function of dissemination and exchange of information, but also forms a new system of promotion and sales, directly connects consumers with suppliers of tourist services. In turn, tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. In many countries, tourism plays an important role in the formation of the gross domestic product, the activation of the foreign trade balance, the creation of a large number of jobs and employment. Thus, the support of participants in the tourism industry in technological development and assistance in converting the industry into a digital system can give an important impetus to the development of domestic and inbound tourism by increasing the awareness of potential tourists on tourist offers and the simplicity and convenience of the processes of booking and buying tour packages. As foreign practice shows, the development of this industry will be possible if the state authorities give power, realize the importance of the role of tourism business in the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and begin to pursue a protectionist policy towards the tourism industry, as well as pay great attention to the training of specialists in the tourism industry.
