Abstract:

Statistics show that Russia is one of the largest countries in the world in almost all indicators.  The problem of Russia's unbalanced economy, with significant positive achievements, was clearly manifested during the global crisis of 2008-2009 and the crisis of 2014 associated with the imposition of sanctions. It is important to reduce the impact of the global market situation on the Russian economy due to the innovative development of the Russian economy. The Russian government has been paying attention to the successful innovative development of Russia. As an example, we can cite the "strategy for innovative development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020" approved by the government of the Russian Federation in 2011. Nevertheless, the crisis of 2014 showed insufficient development of innovative processes in Russia. Therefore, it is important to assess the Russian innovation infrastructure in order to identify its strengths and weaknesses.
