The article describes the method and results of quantitative assessment of the impact of innovative economic development on the competitiveness of the region. The competitive position of the region was estimated using the author's method of determining the level of regional competitiveness, taking into consideration factors such as the level of economic potential and efficiency of its use, the region's attractiveness for people and for business, innovativeness of the regional economy
