Automatic System for Consumer Decision Making

Abstract:

This paper describes a method to implement a procedure that should be used by a customer before making a purchase, in order to help him to make a decision. A website has been designed to better automatically help a customer to make a choice. Actually, the website implements the procedure developed before. The products we all buy have features/characteristics that should be taken into consideration when trying to make a purchase. To make a decision, those features should be quatitatively compared, somehow, for many products. Comparing products means quantitatively grading their features and the authors used a linear interpolation for doing that. A real example is shown and the readers will learn how to use the website the authors designed and implemented.
