One hundred and fifty questionnaires were distributed respondents that were conveniently sampled. The response rate 62.5% (25/40). Based on the findings, it was found that 72% of urbanites are unaware of identity theft crimes and it is suggested that the policy-makers highlight the seriousness of this crime.
