Baby Food Prices and Their Regulation in Russia

Abstract:

The accessibility of baby food for the population strongly depends on consumer prices. The short paper addresses the following issues of baby food consumer prices on the Russian market: how do baby food (baby formula, jarred vegetables, jarred berries and fruit) prices change in the long term and what will the prices be in five years? How have baby food prices changed under the influence of economic sanctions and food import embargo? Is the exclusion of baby food from the list of products for which the trade markup can be regulated grounded?
