Abstract:
Romanian Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMS's) need, in order to became strong players on european market, to identify proper financing sources for investments in new and competitive technologies. From this perspective, banks have to improve the offer by launching new financial –
monetary tools and products, dedicated to SMS's, to meet the requirements of european market competitiveness. The actual development of Romanian business activities shows that companies use, firstly, a mixture between own financial resources and banking credits and secondly, subsidies and grants from EU. The percentage of capital market sources is still insignificant.
