Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to present research results devoted to the problem of barriers to the implementation of sentiment analysis tools in municipal offices. The research was conducted on a sample of 47 communes in the southern part of Poland. The paper presents the characteristic of sentiment analysis tools, its specificity, and division, areas of its application in the communes, outlining the fundamental features of this solution. It further shows the typology of barriers, including organizational, economic and technological ones, as well as conditionings of its application. The empirical research indicated the key implementation barriers such as lack of interest in the conducting sentiment analyses or poor knowledge concerning the possibility of its application in a particular commune.
