Abstract:
This contribution presents the findings of a quantitative literature study as first part of a two part research design. The aim is to systematize and analyze the benefits of applying the approach of object-oriented modeling in the field of industrial plant business. As of today the benefits associated with early life cycle phases of industrial plants are actively researched, whereas the post-com¬mis¬sion¬ing phases like operations, services and modernization seem to have been neglected. This contribution lists relevant literature and verifies this hypothesis to motivate future qualitative work.
