Abstract:

This article discusses the area of using electronic communication in the automotive industry, specifically the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). It is focused on current trend in IT, cloud computing and deploying the EDI to the cloud. A new product, the ClouEDI, is presented with its economical and other benefits. Two case studies from last year shows that the EDI cloud deployment model has significant impact on total cost of ownership.
