Abstract:

This paper discusses the opportunities that biometrics technology holds for electronic commerce. The technology promises to simplify many online transactions and increase security of the websites. Biometrics identity theft is considered as the biggest threat of the technology and is holding back its wide application. Other issues with the future applications of the technology are discussed as well.
