Abstract:

The paper is presenting blockchain technology, which is analyzed as a potential solution supporting information reliability in organization. The need for such solutions is analyzed through identification of information reliability role in building IT reliability in organization. Empirical research is conducted to verify hypotheses formulated to explain that notion. First stage of research concerns the ranking analysis based on 200 IT specialists from Wroclaw, Poland. Second stage concerns the correlation and regression analysis based on results obtained from more 400 organizations from Poland. Information reliability is proven to be a significant factor and the role of blockchain technology in shaping three of its most important features is discussed as a part of conclusions for the paper.
