Abstract:

For several years, the attention paid to the distributed ledger approach and blockchain technology has grown steadily, fostering discussions and research activities on potential areas of application throughout the financial services industry. Despite legal issues that are to be solved the future financial world will surely take the advantage of this technology. More to say, the technology will create new financial instruments that will have nothing in common with the cryptocurrencies that currently confuse us in both legal and financial aspects. The goals of the paper were: to identify the token types that exist nowadays in Ethereum blockchain networks  and to evaluate the market capitalization by token types.
