Abstract:
This study maps the intellectual structure of Born Globals through bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review. A sample of 217 documents from Scopus and Web of Science was analyzed using descriptive and network analyses to identify publication trends and content themes. Co-occurrence of keywords revealed five core themes: internationalization, Born Globals, international business, early internationalization, and exporting. Content analysis of impactful articles under these clusters highlighted innovation, the internationalization process, and international entrepreneurship as key research focuses. The study contributes by synthesizing findings across databases, addressing challenges in citation metrics, and proposing a future research agenda on internationalization and performance.
