Building models of economic systems using cognitive methods

Abstract:

modern socio-economic processes are characterized by complex dynamics, which is difficult for adequate description and modelling using classical procedures. To obtain practically significant results of forecasting the development of real social and economic systems, sometimes it is not enough to use only quantitative methods. To analyse and predict socio-economic processes we propose to use the cognitive model of the socio-economic system – a functional graph in which the vertices correspond to the factors of the system, and the arcs reflect the functional dependence between them. Implementation of the model was made by the simulation method with the help of flow charts and difference equations of system dynamics using the cognitive approach. This model is open, there is a possibility of its expansion and addition. Models of the considered type can be an element of decision support systems at the appropriate level.
