Abstract:
The modern economic system is a complex system in which it is more and more difficult to predict or even determine the probability of the directions of changes. The current information revolution shows that enterprises wishing to maintain business continuity and remain competitive in a dynamically changing environment, must have the ability to properly assess the current market situation, forecast the future situation and quickly, effectively and efficiently adapt business processes. The COVID-19 pandemic posed many challenges for enterprises and forced them to take a new strategy, change their business processes and IT solutions. Moreover, these changes had to be implemented very quickly. One of the elements of such strategy should be an agile and effective management model, integrated with IT systems, which will provide opportunities to meet market requirements, attempt to overtake them and create a new offer based on innovative solutions. There are theoretical and practical reasons for the model to be based on a process approach and cloud computing. Business process management is considered to be one of the most effective and efficient management methods and the answer, among others, to the growing turbulence of the business environment and the individualisation of customer needs and expectations. Cloud computing is a dynamically developing and widely used model of providing and using IT solutions.
