Case as the Method of Professional Skills Forming in the Sphere of Higher Education

Abstract:

The method case study illustrates a real life. It demonstrates the scientific theory from the point of view of real events. It makes students interested in the study of the subject, promotes active learning and forming professional skills. Skills are formed to solve elementary communicative tasks of using information extracted from the scientific and popular sources. The student does not guess that he/she performs a specific training activity, provided, in case the teacher will be able to create a natural professional situation. The training activities are manifested in the organization of the independent activities of the student on the assimilation of new knowledge, skills development and abilities. Lecturer, making explanations on the case, monitors, and if necessary, adjusts the independent learning activities of students. In order for the educational process could be more effective there are two important points which are going to be discussed in this article.
