Causative Theory Of Conflict In The Workplace: Human Needs Perspective

Abstract:

Conflict is inescapable situation or characteristic that is bound to happen among individual due to the different personality of individuals working in organization. Conflict can be seen from different perspective such intrapersonal, interpersonal intragroup and intergroup. This work tends to look at conflict from the Human need perspective.  Human needs has become a challenge in the organization as this affect employee engagement in the organization and in the long run the goals of the organization. Employee are vital asset in the organization, they are a shareholder and has a direct influence the organization, if the organization will achieve the goal or not. Employee whose needs are not met are not productive and do not go extra mile. This study tends to look at how various change in human needs can conflict between employee and manger. This research focus on two theory of human need which is Abraham Maslow and Herzberg’s two-factor theory
