Abstract:

The motivation for undertaking the research was to check how much changes in production processes affect the management of transport processes in mining sector. Authors took a try to analyze processes of technological transport based on empirical data obtained from the selected production company. The analysis of efficiency covered the technological transport processes during three years. The main focus was on the accuracy of selecting statistical analysis methods to design changes related to the size of extraction and thus to planning technological transport tasks. The study proved that the changes introduced in the production system are related to the change in the efficiency of the technological transport process. What is more, their positive influence on the presented statistics regarding transport processes has been proved, which confirmed the validity of introduced changes. On the basis of results it was verified that a statistical analysis could be the basis for assessing the efficiency of technological transport. On the other hand, conducting such a comprehensive analysis for the whole industry would be very difficult and time-consuming.
