Abstract:
Vietnam has been considered as a highly entrepreneurial economy thanks to business opportunities both for local entrepreneurs and foreign investors, arising from speedy economic growth. However, Vietnam's innovative startup ecosystem still involves many difficulties and involves the lack of linkage and cooperation between components and actors of the startup ecosystem. The Covid-19 pandemic has led to significant challenges for entrepreneurs in Vietnam during their wealth-making journey. There is still the theoretical and practical gap in terms of challenges and recommendations for entrepreneurs in Vietnam within the context of post-Covid-19 recovery. Therefore, this paper has been written with the aim to review and assess the current challenging situations of entrepreneurship in Vietnam, and based on such provide feasible recommendations for them to overcome the obstacles. The authors employed a qualitative research method to collect, synthesize and analyze secondary data according to the research aim. As per the research findings, several challenges for entrepreneurs in post-Covid-19 era include supply chain disruption, workforce and financial challenges and technology challenges. The paper provides some recommendations for the development of Vietnamese entrepreneurship during post-Covid 19 period such as business resilience, diversifying the way businesses approach customers, modifying supply chain operation model, ensuring financial liquidity, solving future requirements of workforce and government’s actions.
