Abstract:

It is a well-known the fact that a modern economy should take into consideration the impact on environment of all its activities. The Green Growth concept, according to many scholars and professionals involved in research projects and normative or legislation documents backed up by important institutions as OECD, UNEP, prestigious universities and professional associations, is the way to direction ate the economic effort to minimize the impact on environment. The SMEs are economic actors with a large contribution in economy in Romania so they that could become important vectors for change towards Green Growth desiderate. However some challenges are important for SMEs in supporting the Green Growth. These are related with difficult financial aspects of their financing and their low eco-competitiveness. This paper analyze the way by which the SMEs from Romania are facing the challenges for adapting to the Green Growth demands.
