Abstract:

Bread and baked goods are important food products for Russians. Currently, the domestic Russian population fears an increase in consumer prices of bread and baked goods. Firstly, these fears are associated with the general trend of growth in consumer prices caused by political and macroeconomic changes, and secondly, with a reduction in wheat production in 2018. In this short paper, the author examines how the prices of bread and baked goods in the Russian consumer market will change in the long and short term, with due regard for these factors.
