Abstract:

The study’s main objective is to summarize the results of labor market studies in the Czech Republic (Vokoun 2015; Váchal 2016; Novák 2016; Novák 2016a; Vokoun 2017) and evaluate work motivations of a part of the population, work force mobility, the influence of minimum wage, the trend towards involuntary and cyclical unemployment, the effectiveness of government-initiated active employment policies, and to describe issues in connection with the number of long-term unemployed persons.
