Abstract:

The article presents the role of APS class systems in modern production enterprises. The study presents literature that emphasizes the need to implement this type of system. The work also shows the business benefits of implementing modern IT systems supporting planning and scheduling. Modern APS systems are extensive data acquisition and analysis systems whose proper functioning strictly depends on access to current information about the production system. For this reason, it is advisable to use modern IT solutions for their construction. The article presents support in the implementation of advanced planning and scheduling systems provided by today's cloud computing systems and the Internet of Things.
