Abstract:
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems are widely used in various types of enterprises to support management and streamline the implemented business processes. Currently, ERP systems streamline both internal business processes and those occurring in the immediate environment of the enterprise, i.e. those carried out jointly with providers and customers. ERP systems, by integrating all processes and also supporting the circulation of data and documents, facilitate the implementation of strategic objectives and play a key role in the digital transformation of enterprises. ERP systems can be acquired and operated in the on-premise model (relying on the customer's own IT resources) or in the Cloud Computing model (using the ERP system in the form of a paid e-service made available on the provider's IT infrastructure). In recent years, there has been growing interest in ERP systems offered in the Cloud Computing model (Cloud ERP), as their ease of implementation, lack of need for in-house IT infrastructure and low input costs mean that smaller companies can also benefit from this class of systems. Currently, almost all providers offer ERP systems in the Cloud Computing model. The purpose of the article is to identify the trends and directions of development of Cloud ERP systems. In order to realize the purpose of the article, the characteristics of Cloud ERP systems were briefly presented beforehand.
