Collaborative Business Intelligence – Participatory Analytics for Data Sharing and Cooperation

Abstract:

Collaborative Business Intelligence (CBI) is a major step in developing Business Intelligence (BI) systems. Not only does CBI enable organizations to collect, explore, and process information, but it also allows them to cooperate effectively and share knowledge, analyses, and conclusions, thereby increasing the effectiveness and speed of decision-making. By implementing CBI, organizations can better use data potential to create innovations and personalized offers and build competitive advantage. This study aims to present the key assumptions underlying CBI and identify the value brought by CBI, combined with IT, especially Artificial Intelligence, to data analysis and the organization’s functioning. Theoretical considerations on CBI are supported by the results of empirical research conducted among 13 organizations employing in-depth interviews.
