Collaborative Information System: Connecting the Government, University, and Industry

Abstract:

This study explores the idea of collaborating three main partners that is government, industries, and higher learning institutions which are involving in human capital development and workforce employment in any country. The concept of collaborating all these partners in information sharing system is really vital; because in isolation those three big icons cannot produce optimum output for a country. The prime objective of this project is to examine the possibility of collaborating the Government, University and Industry (GUI) at a standard online platform where each of them are able to access, exchange, and represent information for the greater benefits of the citizens in a particular country, especially in the context of Malaysia. The description includes the functionalities and information services offered by each of the collaborative partners together with brief concept of implementation mechanism. The expected outcome is that the citizens would get ample information in their thumb at their needs. The discussion incorporates the justification why three selected partnering representatives have been chosen in this study. Finally, future implications show the direction of the next focus of this study.
