Collection Of Reference Data For Durability Tests Using A Road Simulator

Abstract:

The article describes the construction and principle of operation of the MTS 320, second in Europe Road Simulator used for durability studies. The first stage of the methodology of conducting sustainability studies on the Road Simulator is to collect reference data. For this purpose, 32 measuring sensors are placed on a large-size semi-trailer vehicle. Acceleration, displacement and stress were measured at selected points of the trailer frame and its support frame. The data were collected in configurations for a loaded and unladen semi-trailer moving on roads classified as motorways, national and local roads in central Poland. Statistical analysis of the obtained results was performed. Additionally, spectral analysis (ASD) was performed. The result of the conducted analyses was to determine the usefulness of the collected reference data in terms of their application for durability tests of large-size vehicles.
